Intel Core i3-8130U – энергоэффективная двухъядерная SoC для ноутбуков и ультрабуков, основанная на генерации Kaby Lake Refresh. Анонс пришелся на начало 2018 года, и, по сравнению с предшественником Core i3-7130U, Core i3-8130U имеет поддержку Turbo Boost для повышения производительности одного потока. Графический адаптер теперь называется Intel UHD Graphics 620, хотя он идентичен Intel HD Graphics 620. Встроенный двухканальный контроллер памяти поддерживает DDR4-2400/LPDDR3-2133.
С тактовой частотой от 2.2 до 3.4 ГГц Core i3-8130U обеспечивает гораздо лучшую производительность с одним ядром, чем Core i3-7130U (2.7 ГГц, без Turbo). Следовательно, его общая мощность должна быть сопоставима с более старым Core i5-7260U (2.2-3.4 ГГц.)
Интегрированная видеокарта Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Intel Gen 9.5) не связана с чипами 8-го поколения Kaby Lake. В Core i3-8130U она работает с малой тактовой частотой 1000 МГц, по сравнению с 1100 МГц-моделями в Core i7. Благодаря быстрой двухканальной памяти, графика может достичь уровня дискретной GeForce 920M.
В отличие от Skylake, Kaby lake теперь поддерживает H.265/HEVC Main 10 с 10-битной глубиной цвета, и кодек Google VP9. Двухъядерные модели Kaby lake, анонсированный в январе, также должны поддерживать HDCP 2.2.
Чип имеет TDP 15 Вт, что типично для уровня ULV. В зависимости от сценария, теплопакет может варьировать от 7.5 Вт д 25 Вт.
