I use win7, driver 376.33
Settings = 1080p, Textures Ultra, Water Ultra, Detail Ultra and the rest is high.
AA ON, AO = SSAO, Light Shafts = on, DOF = ON.
It’s 57-60 then whenever I turn around or run a little bit it dips to 30-35 then goes up to 60 which is pretty annoying (And I’m in White Orchard, just started the game).If it’s this bad in WO, I guess it’ll be unplayable in Novigrad.
What can I do to make it better with what I have? Old driver? New Driver? Hotfix? Different settings? Anything?
GTX970 goes into stutter mode when it goes over 3.5GB of VRAM, now although it’s technically a 4GB card, only 3.5GB is full speed and the last .5 is slower ram. Still a good card but something to be weary of.
The game barely uses 2GB at 1080p and max settings.
Shados and folliage distance totally tank the framerate. Check them

Check which fullscreen method you are using. Borderless Fullscreen or Fullscreen — that can often introduce problems for me. Are you using an SSD?

Yes I’m using EVO 750.I really don’t see the problem here 🙁 Many people who have similar rigs (like you for instance) have good performances but not me.It’s dying here.
Should I OC my gpu&cpu or something? Now I’m still trying to tweak it.Don’t wanna waste this beauty with bad performance :S
Game doesn’t seem to use much CPU. When you said you saw performance dips when you turned around it sounded like a texture streaming issue which is why I wondered if you had an SSD. You could try increasing the cache allocated to the GPU VRAM to see if that helps — there is a guide on the Geforce website for doing this.

Last August so, around 5 months ago.
Edit : I let Samsung Magician take care of everything about SSD.But what you said is different I guess.
As a last resort, in the bios I set the system to performance ( mobo=ASUS H87 Gamer) and I overclocked my 970 a little bit core/mem= +150/+150, power limit = 110, mv = 25.I see weird colors some time to time.The annoying thing is it still stutters.
Edit 2 : And I played GTAV with the same system and it literally never dropped below 55 on Ultra-High settings with AA at 1080p 🙁
