Motorbike´s Speedometer Fix

A new patch has been released:

This file fixes the motorbike´s speedometer. Simply unpack it in your DNF 2013 folder and enjoy, while we work on the big ass update that is gonna move Earth from its axis.

This update has been done a few years ago but I forgot to add it.

It removes those stray needles at the right side and replace them with a proper speedometer needle. Credits to Deeperthought.

Unpack the content of the rar file inside the same folder where your DNF 2013 is installed. You will be asked to replace an older file, which you have to accept.

Duke Nukem Forever 2013 1.0 version

Install in an empty folder. Put a duke3d.grp copy inside and run DNF.BAT. Software mode is recommended but Polymost is also supported. Do not replace.

Hi, can somebody help me getting this mod working again?
I played it years ago & wanted to replay it, but using the .BAT does nothing
and launching EDuke32 & selecting DNF in «New Game» just brings me right back to the main menu.

1- Are you using the executable we provided in the download?
2- Have you placed duke3d.grp on the folder where the mod is installed?

The mod is still being developed.

The author uploaded some pictures of it in this forum recently Forums.duke4.net .

It looks awesome as usual.

Didn’t know that, I assumed it was finished when I defeated the boss and Duke seemingly got hurt or something. No wonder it seemed so short.

Is it going to be possible to make this into Ion Maiden engine it’s a more modern and modified version of Duke Nukem 3d

This was amazing! The first level starts off a bit slow, and besides the new art and a few references played like an ordinary Duke 3D level (although the view from the top of the lady killer is stunning) and there’s good atmosphere. After you get the bike, there’s a bit of a turning point and gameplay starts becoming more ambitious and interesting, plus all the references, both in-your-face and the smaller ones, and the obvious/exact replicas as well as ideas/locations etc which are only loosely…

Дюк жил спокойной сибаритской жизнью. Выпивка, сигары, женщины, королевские апартаменты в Лас-Вегасе, личный музей былых подвигов — что еще нужно для счастья? Уходу на пенсию опять помешали пришельцы, которые по-прежнему намерены поработить Землю. Традиционная смесь инопланетян и примкнувших к ним мутантов-свинокопов встала на пути Дюка легко пробиваемой стеной.

Ответы на вопросы:
1. Почему за основу я использовал версию без текстур?
Потому что версия с тектурами не поддается моддингу.
2. От куда оружие и почему оно не из DNF?
Оружие из Serious Sam 3. Пришлось что то придумать, так как вид оружия из DNF не подходил под движок и в моде оно получалось обрезанным с края.
3. Почему мод под DNF, а не под сеговский Дюк, который вроде больше подходит?
Ну в те времена когда я надумал этот мод у меня как раз было помешательство на Duke Nukem Forever, а делать под сеговскую версию я просто не додумался.
4. Враги из DN3D, задники тоже левые. Что вообще тут из DNF кроме сплеша и названия?
Я начал делать этот мод еще до выхода DNF, да и париться с вырезанием врагов из скринов мне тогда тоже было влом, походу я тогда даже не умел это качественно сделать. Поэтому хапнул классику. Задники хоть и самодельные (на половину, текстуры я ж из инета брал, но потом фотошопил), но я старался сделать их похожими на локации из DNF. Что реально из DNF в самой игре, так это коконы в тренировочном уровне и блезняшки, которых нужно спасать.
