check your internet connection and try again

It is pretty annoying that in certain times I get the message «Please check your internet connection and try again.». I am located in Germany and I experience this issue primarily in the late afternoon or early evening at workdays, and in many cases at the weekend, too. If I try it at 4 in the morning, then there is no problem. I want to point out that I do not agree with your message, because my internet connection is working perfectly. I have a connection via cable internet with a downstream of 120 Mbit/s and my upstream is 6 Mbit/s, so the problem is not located on my side. You, SoloLearn, should be honestly and change the message into «our server(s) are busy at the moment». This would be closer to the truth. And this shows me that your server capacities are lacking performance.

I have the same problem.

I plan on send email to info@sololearn.com suggesting that, when the app decides there is a network timeout, it should see if a ping to some other server to works and if so change the message to ‘our server access timed out, try again.’

SoloLearn has gotten too popular so servers are having issues keeping up, is my guess. It has continued to get worst. I understand that servers are not free so I expect that this isn’t going to be fixed soon. I’m willing to put up with this condition, but it would be nice if SoloLearn documents it is their issue instead of blaming our connection.

same problem in India

@Sebastian: No, you are wrong! I live in a village between Stuttgart and Tübingen with has roundabout 4000 inhabitants. But we have broadband-cable by UnityMedia, which transmits television and also internet (together with phone). 🙂

I’ve the same issue and my 130MB/s up/down connection works perfect. So do the other internet related apps. Sorry answer to a solution. Even restarted everything plus SoloL app several times. 1 hour or so went and app worked again but it’s not the first time this happen with my SoloL app.

same here in india

Same here , i paid for a new compiler yesterday its not as good as SL code playground but always executes the program almost instantly which is nice

I had the same problem today (CZ). Maybe some outage in Sololearn server?

@Jan: You must live in a greater city. Here in my town the downstream is 3MBit/s and I must pay a surcharge — in the heart of germany. But the Problems with SL are the same.

same is with me even in strong connection

Same in New York (United States)

What do you prefer «check your connection» or «check out this advertisement» I keep in mind that SL is still free

I understand you man! I so much hate this. And every time, I want to throw my phone in the wall. Aaaaagh

If using a firewall, you will need to have a variety of URLS whitelisted so that ODB can sync properly.

In particular, among all of the other items listed in the article below, you will want to ensure that the firewall is not missing a whitelist entry for https://*.windows.net

Office 365 URLs and IP address ranges

3. Install the updated OneDrive version (17.3.6389.0415) from the Apple Store — >

This is happening to me on OneDrive mac since the last update which announced syncing shared folders for business accounts.

I can’t connect to OneDrive at all. Help!

There’s an updated version that address this issue in the Apple Store –

Why is it so difficult to get Microsoft Products to work correctly. Do you have the designers who can make Microsoft a stable self sustaining product rather than some software which keeps crashing with every new update?
