Although the X5III/X7/X7MKII have been on the market for quite a while, we at FiiO never stopped the footsteps on firmware debugging so as to bring better user experience to our users. Today we are so excited to release the new firmwares for the three devices with the following changes and improvements. Among which, the USB Audio support is one of the most anticipated features, so come get your X5III/X7/X7MKII upgraded to the new firmware and enjoy.
The following changes and improvements have been made to the FW1.2.1 compared to the FW1.2.0 on X5 3rd gen:
1. Added USB Audio output function (the output is in DoP by default; if your DAC does not support DSD decoding, please switch from DoP to D2P in FiiO Music settings);
2. Added «Enter Now Playing after play» option (can be set in FiiO Music settings; when the option enabled, the app will automatically enter the Now Playing menu after clicking a song to play);
3. Added new option to turn on/off the power light (can be set in Settings->Display->Power Light);
4. Fixed issue where some FLAC tracks might stutter when the ViPER Effect was turned on;
5. Fixed issue where the embedded album art could not be displayed for some WMA tracks;
6. Fixed issue where the fast search bar in the Folder View menu might disappear in a few cases;
7. Fixed issue where the sound was abnormal or there was no output when playing DSD tracks via Bluetooth;
8. Fixed issue where the Settings would stop working when entering «Settings->Storage->NAND FLASH->Total space->Downloads»;
9. Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.

FiiO releases the new firmware FW1.2.4 for X3MKIII
The following changed and improvements have been made to the FW1.2.4 compared to the FW1.2.1.
1. Added the USB DAC adaption to Mac computers;
2. Added Italian language support;
3. Improved the random stutter issue when playing some APE tracks locally;
4. Changed the «Reset media library» option (under System settings) to «Reset database» (you can use this option to reset the media library and also the Bluetooth data);
5. Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.

Hi. The bluetooth is very flaky. This needs a firmware update to adress the glitchiness. Thanks
I’ve been waiting for new updates since 2018. I have 1.2.4 firmware, but could u guys fix more things please.. When I press play some track, it always glicthing at first -1 sec. Still no replaygain. UI is kind of laggy than x3ii. I also own x3ii but it has better firmware. Give us great final firmware with all of those fixes please..

Hi, guys! My FIIO X3III sounds poor. I’m very disapointed with my purchase. I think it needs a better and powerful ecualizer. When are you going to fix it?
