This mod is on hiatus, the reason? The time it takes me to make the textures is around 2 hours a pop,some times upto 5 hours. I realise now that it was way too much for me and i need a break. I have college, my girlfriend, and other things to worry about and this just cant be done. The game has easily over 3000 textures, with around half taking me forever to overhaul. Please except my apologies. The reason i say hiatus and not total disbandment is because i could come back to time after some time. Please if anyone wishes to take over while i am gone send me a request. I don’t want to see this go down the crap hole but it is making my life hell. Sorry people, if the Moderator thinks this is a disbandment and takes it down then i guess thats it.

Hi all FEAR funs! I made this mod for more game atmospheric and realistic. Many things was changed, for example now you can carry all weapons together, the blood, bullet holes etc do not fades anymore. I hope this mod with the game bring you tons of enjoyments!

Please make a version that doesn’t change all these other things. I’m a big F.E.A.R. fan, and personally, I like the main change with the stuff not dissapearing, but all the other «fixes» ruin the experience. Again, please make a graphics fix only mod.
Just bought F.E.A.R. Platinum on GOG and tried to use this mod. The mod worked great with my earlier retail release of F.E.A.R. on CD, but with this version I get no weapon sounds from the assault rifle or SMG. Looking at the mod contents, I see it includes replacement sounds for those two weapons. Is there a known incompatibility with F.E.A.R. Platinum and/or the GOG release? Is there something special I must do to get it working?
Update: I’m using Creative ALchemy to get 3D sound. With some experimenting, I found that enabling «Hardware Mixing» in the game settings causes these gun sounds to disappear when using the Rivarez mod. But I just deleted the «gunsSnd» folder to revert to vanilla sounds, and things work properly again. I’ll just have to forego the enhanced guns sounds. Good enough.
